Venture Express realizes the importance of safety to the accomplishment of company and customer goals. 'To ensure a safe and efficient work place and customer satisfaction, our safety department works with all departments within the company to establish safe and efficient work habits and procedures.

Close cooperation with our customers and drivers has resulted in one of the lowest cargo claim to revenue ratios in the industry. This has been achieved by working closely with both our customers and our drivers to recruit experienced drivers, develop initial orientation procedures, and constant retraining.

Quarterly driver meetings are required of all drivers which include reviews of current accident and cargo problems as well as new customer requirements.

A rigid equipment maintenance schedule is tracked by computer to assure both a time and mileage based inspection procedure to reduce on-road and customer problems.

All safety related data such as on-road inspection results, DOT accident rate, and cargo claims are monitored closely to allow for quick response to needed changes or retraining.

In addition, the Director of Safety and the President of Operations work together on a daily basis to provide an on-going process of driver evaluation and customer satisfaction.
